The sounds of the Gods 2025: music meets the sky on the Path of the Gods

The 17th edition of “The Sounds of the Gods – Concerts on the Path of the Gods” returns, an event that for seventeen years has combined great music with the breathtaking beauty of the Amalfi Coast.

An experience that is not just a concert, but a total immersion in nature, art, and the most authentic spirit of the territory. And this year, everything begins on Monday, April 21, 2025, Easter Monday, in a symbolic location: the square in front of the Church of Santa Maria a Castro, at the Convent of San Domenico.

Located about 360 meters above sea level, the convent dates back to the 16th century and offers one of the most spectacular views of the coast below. Immersed in the silence of the Mediterranean vegetation, this spiritual and panoramic place can be reached on foot from Praiano through a suggestive path among olive and pine trees.

A unique experience between sky, sea, and music

I Discede, Folk Music Company of the Amalfi Coast, will inaugurate the season with sounds that speak of roots, tradition, and celebration.

But it will be in the following weeks that the soul of the event will truly take shape, when the “Path of the Gods”, one of the most spectacular nature trails in the world, will transform into an open-air theater.

This legendary path, which connects Bomerano (a hamlet of Agerola) to Nocelle (a hamlet of Positano), winds for about 7 km suspended between sky and sea.

Once traveled by shepherds and farmers, today it is one of the most beloved hiking trails in the world, thanks to its unparalleled view of the Faraglioni of Capri, Positano, and the entire Gulf of Salerno.

Imagine walking suspended between sky and sea, surrounded by Mediterranean scents, while the notes of Vivaldi, Debussy, Corelli, or Scarlatti spread among the mountains and ancient rock ruins. This is the beating heart of The Sounds of the Gods.

Music among the clouds: 12 concerts, infinite emotions

Twelve musical performances – distributed every Saturday in May, September, and October – will enchant hikers and enthusiasts along the paths of the Lattari Mountains.

Violins, guitars, flutes, violas, double basses, and other instruments will give life to timeless melodies, performed in the most evocative places of the area.

An event born from the visionary genius of RAI set designer Gennaro Amendola, president of the Pelagos Association, who in 2007 transformed a bold idea into a reality loved by tourists and hikers from all over the world.

Participating is simple… and free!

Thanks to the Tra.Vel.Mar. service, you can depart by boat from Salerno, Maiori, or Minori, and continue by bus from Amalfi to Agerola (Bomerano), the starting point for the Path of the Gods. After the concert, you can complete the hike to Nocelle (Positano) and comfortably return by sea. An itinerary designed to experience the Coast in a complete, sustainable, and spectacular way.

Why participate? Because The Sounds of the Gods is much more than a musical event. It’s an opportunity to breathe in art and nature, to be inspired, to walk in silence and then be swept away by music. It’s an invitation to slow down, to look around, to listen. A new way to experience the territory, respecting and celebrating it.

Admission is free, but the emotions it offers are priceless. And if the weather should be uncooperative, don’t worry: the concerts will be rescheduled or moved to safer locations.

Ready to be part of this enchantment?

Mark the dates, prepare your backpack, and let yourself be guided by the music. The Sounds of the Gods awaits you for a journey among the wonders of the Amalfi Coast, with your heart turned to the sky and notes as your walking companions… see you on the path!
