Christmas and New Year’s Eve in Ravello 2025: A Must-See Events Calendar

Ravello is getting ready for an unforgettable holiday season with “Christmas and New Year’s Eve in Ravello 2025”, a festive program filled with music, movies, traditions, and live performances. Throughout December and January, residents and visitors can enjoy cultural events, excursions, concerts, and moments of celebration in one of the most enchanting towns on the Amalfi Coast. There truly is something for everyone.

Music and Theater Events 🎭

Among the highlights are the concert by Massimo Ranieri with “Tutti i sogni ancora in volo” (December 29) and the jazz reinterpretation of the classic fairy tale “Peter and the Wolf” (December 27) featuring Francesco Paolantoni.

Other must-see events include the New Year’s Concert on January 1 with the Benevento Philharmonic Orchestra, and the traditional Christmas Concert on January 10 at Ravello Cathedral.

The Oscar Niemeyer Auditorium will also host theatrical performances such as “Uomo e Galantuomo” by Eduardo De Filippo, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the La Ribalta theater company, as well as the family show “Christmas in Fable – Sleeping Beauty” (December 21).

Movies and Cultural Events 🎬

From December 13 to February 1, Ravello will host the film festival “Cinema in Ravello”, featuring 30 movie screenings.

On December 14, there will be a special screening of “La casa degli angeli”, followed by a discussion with special guests Franco Nero and Gianni Garko.

Christmas Traditions and Religious Celebrations ⛪

The holiday season officially begins on December 6 with a series of Christmas excursions, including the hike to Monte Cerreto (December 29), organized by Movicoast.

On December 8, Ravello’s streets come alive with the sound of traditional bagpipers (zampognari), along with the opening of the nativity scene created by local children.

Christmas Eve Mass (December 24) and Christmas Day Mass (December 25) will be accompanied by traditional Christmas melodies performed by the zampognari, creating a warm and authentic atmosphere.

Events for all Ages 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Families and children are at the heart of Ravello’s holiday celebrations. Highlights include the Santa Claus Village (December 22–23) and the St. Stephen’s Tombola (December 25).

The New Year’s Tombola (December 30) and traditional games in Piazza Duomo (December 20, December 27, and January 11) will make the season even more fun and engaging.

New Year’s Eve in Ravello 🎆

To welcome 2025, Ravello will host a lively New Year’s Eve celebration on December 31, featuring a traditional toast, music in the main square, and a spectacular fireworks show.

After midnight, guests can enjoy a unique Silent Party, ringing in the New Year with music under the stars.

Epiphany and the end of the Holiday Season 🎁

The festivities conclude on January 6 with the Epiphany Tombola for children, followed by the traditional “Levata del Bambino” ceremony, which continues until January 11.

On January 10, the Christmas Concert offers a final opportunity to experience the magic of the season.
