❄ Winter in Positano
Visiting Positano during the quieter months of the year, from November to February, means immersing yourself in a completely different atmosphere than the peak summer season: clearer streets, quieter sunsets, and the opportunity to experience the village more authentically.
At the same time, however, it’s best to be prepared: the choice of open restaurants is limited, while other types of establishments, such as delis and grocery stores, remain more reliable for meals.
Here is the updated list of open restaurants and bars, compiled by the Municipality of Positano, with contact information, hours, and closing days: a little help in choosing the perfect restaurant!

📞 What to expect and how to organize
- Don’t assume all restaurants are open; most are closed or have reduced hours. Always check in advance: hours, weekly closings, and any shifts.
- Don’t trust Google schedules, which are often out of date; instead, call or email the restaurants.
- If the restaurant you wanted to go to is closed: go to “Plan B,” a delicatessen or deli for a casual but good meal. Delis are almost always open.
- Be flexible with your hours: many restaurants close early in the low season, especially those on Spiaggia Grande.
✨ Why visit Positano in winter?
- Enjoy the beauty of the village without the summer crowds: views, silence, and the winter sea.
- Enjoy the true “village life” of the Amalfi Coast through delightful festivals, Christmas programs, and special evenings.
- Discover the scenic beauty of Positano and its surroundings while taking advantage of the mild temperatures, and visit the historic sites open year-round at a slower, less chaotic pace.
